My room

Thought y'all might like to see pictures of my BOQ room. It's messy because I've been lazy all weekend but don't worry, I have to clean it up before the maid gets here on the weekdays.

Check out that crater!

Here's some pictures of the damage we did today!

Fun but long day today!

Today we set out to put what we've been learning into play. I got up around 4:00 AM and didn't step back into my room until about 7:30 PM. We got to do things with lots of different compositions from cutting steel I-beams to making some DEEP craters. I also got the chance to actually be the one who set off a breaching charge. It blew the door about 5 feet away! Anyways, thought you might enjoy some of these pictures!

I'm getting married!!!

Well, I came home 2 weeks ago and the first night back took Mary-Grace out to the Angus Barn. I dressed in my Dress Blues and mom had roses set up on our table (which was supposed to be secluded - that didn't happen). The whole meal I was nervous and didn't make eye contact with our waitress, let alone eat my food. I was waiting at the end of the meal for this old couple beside us to leave since they were bickering throughout the entire meal but that didn't happen. So, like a gentleman, I told her I wasn't feeling well on my stomach and had to go to the bathroom. I ran to the car and came back with a whole Angus Barn entourage ready to watch the entire thing. The hostesses were asking to see the ring and all I wanted to do was puke. Anyways, I walked in with a rose and gave it to Mary-Grace, got down on one knee, and told her all my feelings for her. I could hear and feel the entire restaurant watching and I was waiting to hear an "I love you too" and "YES". She did say "yes" and after a hug and kiss we sat and listened to a duet of "Be nobody's darlin' but mine" - very romantic, I know.
So, with all that said, we're hoping and praying to get married on June 2nd this coming year. Most likely it'll be in Raleigh and then she'll be coming back with me to Texas after the honeymoon! Woohooo!

B O L C over

Well, that school is finally done and I'm officially at Engineer School. We learned a lot of valuable stuff in Oklahoma that I didn't know before. Probably my favorite part was MOUT (Military Operations on Urban Terrain) training. We had excellent cadre, especially the NCOs in my platoon. The one thing that I miss most are all the friends I made there. Now that I have my own room, I really don't hang out to much with other people. Plus, when I get off work, I'm really too tired to do anything else.
Now that I'm here in MO, I'm also learning a lot of great stuff that I'll use. I am really pumped up about getting to my unit in December, but hopefully I can get a slot for airborne school in between here and there. You can help me out there through prayer!
