Fun but long day today!
Today we set out to put what we've been learning into play. I got up around 4:00 AM and didn't step back into my room until about 7:30 PM. We got to do things with lots of different compositions from cutting steel I-beams to making some DEEP craters. I also got the chance to actually be the one who set off a breaching charge. It blew the door about 5 feet away! Anyways, thought you might enjoy some of these pictures!

Do they make y'all wear long sleeves in the summer? I thought you could roll them up. Looks pretty hot...but fun.

Well, the new ACUs are to be worn long sleeve all the time. Also, when you're in the field you have to wear sleeves down, no matter if you're wearing the new or old uniform. If you look at pictures in Iraq, you'll notice that their sleeves are down - and that's in 120+ degree weather.
