I'm here!

Well, Ft. Benning is pretty cool. There's actually places to do things and eat! It's warm but today it's raining. I found out that many scenes from We Were Soldiers were filmed here on post, including the 250 ft. jump towers. I hope I don't have to fall from those. I'd rather jump straight out of a plane. Pray for me!

Looks like I'll be going to Airborne School. I earned my slot and I'm scheduled to report to Ft. Benning on 17 November. I'll graduate 8 December. I can't believe a combat jump is performed at 400 ft! I think I'll be jumping at around 800 ft. Check out this video of the type of jump I'll be doing here.
