Friends

Lately, on the weekends, I've been grillin' out with my friends Bill and Steve. Haha, I just realized how generic those names sounded. I promise I'm not making them up. Bill's got a house here since he's stationed here once we finish school. He's also getting married and Steve is already married. He's got a little two year old girl back back home that he really misses.
Last week we made a huge meal. We bought 6 corn on the cob, 6 fillets, green beans, cheese bread and we were ready to cook. I put the charcoal on the grill not knowing that he had run out of matchlight brickettes. Bill thought it'd start if he threw in some newspaper but me and Steve knew it wouldn't work. I was going to run and get some charcoal fuel when Bill thought it'd also be a good idea to use lamp oil instead. It ended up starting, obviously, but not without ensuring we would get cancer with whatever food we slapped on the grill afterwards.
With all that behind us, the food actually tasted good; not like a bottle of pledge. Hopefully it all burned off. I guess lamp oil was pretty good considering he was wanting to put gasoline on it.
All in all, we have a lot of fun together. Ole Billy boy is wanting to get a new grill, so a couple nights ago he used the rest of the lighter fluid to build a huge fire in his old grill. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Flames were shooting out of the smoke pipe out the top. The same night, I was upstairs talking on the phone. I heard him come in the back door and say, "George, I did something bad". So, I look outside and in his patio fireplace he had put a huge cardboard box on top of the fire. The flames probably reached the second story. It died out quickly though.
Here's a picture of Steve, Bill, John, and I goofing off on a class break.
